Kuan Yin’s power lies in her ability to face the pain of the world. Rather than turning away from suffering, she trusts in her divine capacity to be with all that is. To maintain a loving gaze in the face of whatever arises. Through her love, suffering is transformed.
When we activate our own Kuan Yin energy, we’re able to turn towards the world rather than numb ourselves to the very real pain around us. We become vessels for the divine to work through, for the betterment of all.
Kuan Yin is also an essential ally for shadow work. Facing our internal darkness brings about shame, guilt, anger, pain, and all the most difficult emotions we humans can experience. Yet when Kuan Yin is present, facing our shadow becomes blessed with the kind of true self-compassion that ignites soul-level healing.
