General & Product Questions
Q: Are your perfumes and other products natural and cruelty-free?
Yes. Every Alchemessence formula is made using natural, sustainably sourced, and wildcrafted materials where possible. I use no synthetic fragrances or preservatives, and I do not support animal testing. Many of my perfumes are fully vegan; some may include beeswax or honey. If you prefer a fully vegan formula, just reach out — I’m happy to help guide you.
Q: What does it mean that your perfumes are “ceremonial-grade” or “alchemical”?
My perfumes are more than just scent — they are deeply intentional blends infused with spiritual or energetic transmissions. These are meant to be ritual aromatics as well as wearable fragrance, created from rare and potent botanicals.
Q: Why are some of your perfumes “unfiltered”?
I leave in as much plant material as possible – no heavy filtration. That means you might notice some separation, sediment, or natural particles over time. This does not affect the scent or quality. It’s simply a hallmark of true botanical craftsmanship.
Q: How should I choose between a perfume oil, spray, or solid?
It depends on your preference and use:
Oil: Richer, more intimate, and long-lasting — excellent for ritual or pulse point application.
Spray / Eau de Parfum: More diffusive, great for layering or for a lighter “bathe in scent” feel.
Solid: Comfortable, portable, and ideal when you want a balm-like application or less alcohol.
Q: Can I request a custom perfume or a special blend?
Absolutely. Custom or bespoke perfumes are welcome. Reach out via email, and we'll start with an intake conversation. For custom blends, I typically provide 2–3 sample versions for you to choose from before finalizing your bottle. I’ll also keep your recipe on file for future reorders.
Q: How long do your products last / how should I store them?
Store your products away from heat and direct sunlight.
Oil-based products & hydrosols are best used within 12–18 months for peak quality.
Flower essences and alcohol-based perfumes generally last longer if stored well — several years.
Packaging & Sustainability
Q: Is your packaging eco-friendly?
Yes. Eco-conscious packaging is very important to me. I reuse clean, sturdy materials when possible. You may receive gently used boxes, but rest assured they’re secure and carefully selected.
Q: What about bubble wrap or other filler?
Whenever I reuse packaging materials from suppliers, I repurpose what I can. The bubble wrap I use is always from suppliers who I’ve needed to order from. I never buy my own plastic packing. For cushioning, I use compostable peanuts or reused paper whenever possible, so your package is protected — and the environment is too.
Q: Are your bottles and containers recyclable?
Yes. Glass bottles and tins can usually be washed and reused or recycled, depending on local recycling rules. The dropper tops or spray pumps may need to be separated for proper recycling.
Shipping & Order Questions
Q: How long will it take to get my order?
Orders take 3–10 business days to process, depending on what you’ve ordered and current order volume. After that, standard shipping takes approximately 3–7 business days for U.S. orders. International orders take longer, depending on customs and carrier.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
Yes — to select countries. If your country doesn’t appear at checkout, please drop me a line, and I may be able to enable shipping for you. Remember: import duties, VAT, or customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility.
Q: What happens if my package is lost or marked delivered but I didn’t receive it?
First, check with your local post office or neighbors. If tracking indicates delivery but you can’t locate the package, I can help provide the documentation you need to file a claim with the carrier, but filing a claim is your responsibility. Because insurance is under the buyer’s name, you’ll need to work directly with the carrier for a claim.
Important: I hand deliver all packages to a shipping provider. Once I drop a package off, I am no longer responsible in any way for that package — including missing, damaged, or incorrectly delivered goods.
