Do you accept returns?
No, due to the nature of the products, I cannot accept returns. However, I offer sample sizes of all perfumes, so you’re free to try as many as you like before you buy full size. Also, I want you to be happy! If there’s any problem with your order, please reach out to alchemessence@gmail.com.
How long will it take to get my order?
The total time it takes me to receive your order, package it, ship it, and then for it to be delivered, is generally 2 weeks. Please see shipping policies for more.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes! I’ve recently added shipping to Canada and select international locations. If you don’t see your country listed, please reach out and I’ll add it. Please see Shipping & Return Policies before you place an order.
Are your perfumes cruelty-free?
Yes! I carefully source or make my own ingredients and do not support animal testing. Unlike many natural perfumers, I do not use animal ingredients such as civet or castoreum. It is totally impossible to ethically source these ingredients, so do your research and please boycott any natural perfumer that still thinks it’s okay to torture and harvest from animals. Most of my perfumes are completely vegan, though some contain beeswax, honey, and seashell essences. If you’d like to avoid these, just email me and I’ll help you navigate your choices.
Are your perfumes natural?
Yes! Every ingredient is 100% natural, sourced from sustainable, wildcrafted, and organic companies. There are no preservatives or artificial fragrances in any product. I also use only whole-plant materials, meaning no isolates. Although the Natural Perfumers Guild does allow perfumes to contain isolates so long as they come from natural sources, I rarely use them. Why? With most companies, there is no way of knowing what material the isolate actually comes from or how that material was grown. It’s likely that many of them are GMO in nature and not in alignment with my mission.
How should I choose which perfumes to get?
You can choose perfumes based on either the spirit they resonate with, or simply based on what fragrance you feel drawn to. All perfumes are available in sample sizes, so you can make sure you like a fragrance before purchasing a larger bottle.

What does it mean that your perfumes are unfiltered?
Traditionally, perfumes are filtered in order improve the appearance of the perfume and create more uniform looks. This is a purely cosmetic choice. I like to leave as much plant material as possible in my bottles, so I do not filter them. This means that on occasion, you might see small particles or separation occur. This does not affect the quality of the perfume at all—it lets you know that these really are all natural.
The perfume I want is out of stock. Will it be back soon?
Maybe. Many of the perfumes I offer are limited edition, meaning once they’re gone, they’re gone. As many of the ingredients I use are very difficult to source, there’s no guarantee I’ll be able to restock my supply. This has always been true, yet is even more so during the pandemic. Also, as crops shift year over year, so do the natural essences that come from them, so it’s possible to notice slight changes from one batch of perfume to another. Occasionally, my personal relationship with a deity will shift, and I update the perfume recipe to reflect this. All that said, I’ll do my best to keep all your favorites in stock and true to the original aroma.
Can I request a specific goddess, power animal, or other perfume?
Of course! I definitely take requests into consideration when I’m selecting who I’ll honor with my next perfume. And I offer a limited number of spaces for bespoke perfumes - custom blends that are made just for you. For custom perfumes, we’ll have a complete intake, you’ll receive 2-3 samples to choose from, and a 15ml or 1oz final product, depending on the level you choose.
