Alchemical Distillations
Alchemessence hydrosols are healing, aromatic waters created in sacred ceremony at my high desert property.
Made through a traditional steam distillation in my copper alembic, every plant is grown and harvested with my own two hands.
Each hydrosol is made in a small batch that captures the essence of the plant’s spiritual, energetic, and medicinal gifts in the purest form.
Unlike commercial hydrosols, I do not remove the essential oils from the aromatic water — so each bottle contains both the hydrosol and a small amount of freshly distilled essential oils.
These hydrosols are beautiful companions for daily beauty rituals, spiritual practice, and aromatic healing.
Supplies are limited due to their seasonal, small batch nature.

Distilled from ripe, green apples gathered from my prolific tree at their peak, this Apple Hydrosol carries the essence of orchard sweetness and renewal.
Apple has long symbolized beauty, abundance, and the cycles of life and rebirth. It has a longtime connection with the sacred feminine and Avalonian rituals. Apple hydrosol is gentle, refreshing, and uplifting—ideal for supporting clear skin, balanced mood, and a sense of joy.
In Greek myth, the apple is sacred to Aphrodite and associated with love, beauty, and choice. The Celts viewed the apple as the fruit of the Otherworld, a gateway to Avalon and divine knowledge. Apple hydrosol carries this sweetness—an offering to joy, union, and the sacred cycles of life.

Marigold has long been a healer’s ally—gentle, radiant, and protective. It soothes both skin and spirit, softening the effects of tension while brightening energy with joy.
In Greek and Roman ritual, marigold was sacred to the Sun, symbolizing constancy and illumination. In Mexican tradition, cempasúchil (Tagetes species) are the flowers of Día de Muertos, guiding ancestors home with their golden light and scent. Distilled with care using my copper alembic, this limited-edition Mugwort Hydrosol brings the powerful energy of this sacred plant into a magical, aromatic spray.
Mugwort has a long history as a sacred herb used by ancient cultures for enhancing dreams, intuitive work, and protection. Known for its ability to clear energetic blockages, Mugwort supports relaxation, enhances spiritual practice, and aids meditation.
In Druidic and European traditions, Mugwort was sacred to the Moon and to Artemis, guardian of thresholds and dreams. It was burned before prophecy and used to anoint travelers between worlds. Taoist adepts used Mugwort for spirit protection and to strengthen the body’s yin energy. It is a plant of seers—one that awakens inner vision, purifies the path, and guards the dreaming soul.
Mugwort is also one of the most used plants in TCM anointing practices. It’s the base of moxa sticks, I use the essential oil, and you can use the hydrosol :)
Physical Uses: Soothes skin irritations, helps reduce redness, and can be used as a refreshing facial toner.
Emotional Uses: Calms anxiety, promotes a sense of safety, and supports emotional release.
Mental Uses: Enhances focus and mental clarity, especially during meditation or ritual work.

Artemisia absinthium
2oz amber glass spray bottle | distilled summer 2025
Distilled with care in my copper alembic, this Wormwood Hydrosol captures the wild, resinous spirit of one of the most legendary Artemisia plants.
Wormwood has long been associated with protection, clarity, and crossing thresholds between worlds. It is used to cleanse stagnant energy and awaken sharp focus, helping dissolve illusions or fatigue that obscure vision.
Linked with Hecate, Persephone, and the rites of crossing, Wormwood has long been a herb of the in-between. The Greeks used it in ritual wine to honor the dead and guide spirits. In medieval Europe and Taoist practice alike, its bitter scent was said to drive away harmful influences. It sharpens perception, clears illusions, and fortifies spiritual boundaries.
Wormwood is perhaps the best anti-parasitic ally there is — not just for the intestinal ones, but the energetic ones: Misting regularly with wormwood can help keep energetic bugs at bay.
Physical Uses: Supports healthy skin, tones oily areas, and can be used as a clarifying body or room mist.
Emotional Uses: Encourages release of grief, strengthens inner boundaries, and restores confidence.
Mental Uses: Sharpens awareness, clears fog, and aids study or ritual precision.

Among the old northern peoples, Larch symbolized renewal and rebirth—the only conifer to lose its needles each winter and return to green in spring. It was considered a tree of light and endurance.
