Why the 42 Ideals of Ma’at Matter
And why they’re needed now more than ever.
It is said that when we die, the Egyptian goddess Ma’at waits in the halls of the afterlife to weigh our heart against a feather. If the heart is heavy — burdened by grief, guilt, violence, or imbalance — the soul cannot pass into the next world.
But what if this was never about punishment?
In Egyptian mysticism, the gods and goddesses — known as the neteru — are not only divine beings, but cosmic principles woven into the fabric of creation.
Ma’at is the force of truth, balance, reciprocity, and sacred order. She is the structure that keeps the universe from falling into chaos.
Ma’at doesn’t punish us in the afterlife…she lives inside us, as a compass pointing us toward harmony.

The Ma’at Ritual Oil Collection was created as a ceremonial companion to deepen your daily reflections and anchor the weekly anointing rituals.
Each blend is a handcrafted potion of pure, premium essential oils — including rose, jasmine, frankincense, myrrh, cedarwood, and other botanicals revered for millennia in Egypt and beyond.
Every bottle is consecrated in ritual, aligned to the six stages of our journey together.

Welcome! I’m Juniper Stokes, and I am devoted to supporting you on your journey of connecting to nature, spirit, and the cosmos.
I’ve been studying, practicing, and teaching spiritual rewilding and animism for over two decades.
Over the years, I’ve completed a 3-year shamanic practitioner training, two-year teacher training with Sandra Ingerman, and extensive study with Betsy Bergstrom. I also have formal training in Mayan, Norse, Celtic, Taoist, and Egyptian animist practices, as well as Western magic traditions.
In addition to teaching, I’ve been supporting clients with animist healing, spiritual counsel, and depth coaching since 2017.
Integrity and service are at the heart of my offerings…as is joy! This is serious work and we don’t shy from shadow, but we do laugh our way though.

We begin with a Live Opening Circle on Sunday, September 14 — a gathering to meet your fellow travelers, explore the history and meaning of the 42 Ideals of Ma’at, and bless your Ritual Oils.
The 42-day journey begins on September 21, with a short daily lesson (overview, reflection, journal prompts, and anointing suggestion). You’ll also receive 6 pre-recorded guided ritual audios to deepen your practice.
We’ll meet again for a Midpoint Live Ritual in mid-October and a Closing Live Ritual in late October.

The oils are an optional but highly recommended add-on.
Order by September 10 to have your set in time for the Opening Circle and the full 42-day journey.
Orders placed after September 10 will still be shipped promptly, but your oils will arrive mid-journey. You’ll be able to join all the lessons immediately, and can begin using the oils as soon as they arrive.

No problem. All live calls will be recorded and uploaded to your portal so you can watch at your own pace. Many students find it just as powerful to engage with the recordings in their own sacred time.

Absolutely. The daily lessons are designed to be accessible whether you’re brand new to spiritual ritual or an experienced practitioner. You’ll be guided step-by-step, and the practices are short and doable — even with a busy schedule.

You can absolutely do the course without the Ritual Oils. Every anointing practice includes suggestions for alternative tools (such as oils you already own). That said, the Ritual Oils are crafted specifically for this journey and carry the energetic and botanical correspondences for each stage — they add a depth and beauty that will enhance your practice.
