Meeting the Horned God

A mini workshop for connecting with the wild, fertile guardian of the earth

A traditional ritual to connect with the wild god of the land

He is lord of the forest. Guardian of the beasts. The fertile father and generous protector.

Not the punitive sky-father. Not the horned devil that fearful religious forces made him out to be.

The Horned God is the true sacred masculine — wild, embodied, ecological, and endlessly generous.

Consort and lover, not overlord. Tender of the threshold between life and death who gives himself back to the land again and again.

This workshop is your invitation to meet him.

Here's what's inside:

Your Guide

Hi, I'm Juniper Stokes — animist, botanical alchemist, artist, and the woman behind Alchemessence. My work is about restoring the living bond between soul and nature: meeting the plants, the gods, and the wild as real relationships rather than distant ideas.

I've been teaching animist arts for nearly two decades, and I have a lifetime of training in herbalism, sacred aromatics, astrology, and earth-honoring ritual, with advanced study in shamanism, as well as Hermetic astrology and ritual magic.

I love nothing more than making the ancient feel close enough to touch. The Horned God has been one of my dearest guides on that path, and I cannot wait for you to meet him.

This was my first introduction to Shamanism- it was a wonderful and amazing experience. I didn't know what to expect and had very little knowledge about the journey I was about to take. Juniper was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and a great guide for anyone wanting to explore different realms.

—Gina, Registered Nurse

Juniper is a wealth of knowledge that I was so excited to learn from. We journeyed together, we laughed, we cried and we ate plants — all in honor of their spirit and strengthening our connection to them. I also really enjoyed our retreat where we made our own flower tinctures!

—Morgan

Junipers classes are well thought out and executed. She maintains a calm, reassuring presence as a teacher and guide while helping her students step into their own intuitive power with confidence.

—Donna Johansen, Herbalist, CA

“Really enjoyed this class, great perspective! Juniper is a great teacher with so much knowledge to share. I look forward to taking more workshops with her!”

—Jim M.

I really enjoyed the extent of information I gained from this class. From a glimpse into the birth and evolution of shamanism, to enhancing my understanding of the 'clairs', to heart meditations and the progression to journeying, the accumulation of information was fascinating. Thank you for a vitalizing and beautiful experience into the art of intuition and healing, and for providing such a solid base for me to begin building my own journeying practice on.

—Teressa B.

“We found the way you normalized the darker aspects of this work refreshing. It’s time to bring that shadow to the light!”

—Sherry G.

We acknowledge that this workshop takes place on land ceded under pressure to Oregon Territory in the Treaty of 1855 by Paiute, Wasco, and Warm Springs tribal chiefs. May our work be in service to the benevolent beings who still tend this sacred land.
