Terms & Conditions — Sacred Aromatics Foundations
1. Who You Are Agreeing With
These Terms and Conditions are between you and Juniper Stokes Creative, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company doing business as Alchemessence ("Alchemessence," "we," "us," or "our").
By completing checkout, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions and that you are at least 18 years old.
2. What You Are Purchasing
Sacred Aromatics Foundations is a six-week online course consisting of six live two-hour circles held on Zoom, one pre-recorded module, written practice materials, and recordings of each live circle.
The optional Foundations Kit is a separate physical product that may be purchased at checkout. The kit is not required to participate in the course.
Course content, sequence, session dates, and delivery methods may be reasonably adjusted as needed. If a live circle must be rescheduled, we will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and will make a recording or other appropriate alternative available when possible.
3. Payment
The course fee is $497 USD, or three monthly payments of $179 USD.
Payment plan installments are processed automatically on the same day each month. By selecting a payment plan, you agree to complete all scheduled payments.
If a payment plan installment fails, we may attempt to contact you and access to course materials may be paused until your account is current. Unresolved outstanding balances may affect your eligibility to enroll in future Alchemessence offerings.
Payment plan balances remain due in full after the refund period has ended, regardless of attendance, participation, or whether you complete the course.
All prices are in US dollars. You are responsible for any bank, currency conversion, or card fees charged by your financial institution.
4. Refunds
You may request a full refund of the course fee within 48 hours of the first live course session.
To request a refund, email support@alchemessence.com before the 48-hour period expires. We will refund all course payments received and cancel any remaining scheduled payment plan installments.
After the 48-hour refund period has ended, the course fee is non-refundable, including in cases of non-attendance, non-participation, scheduling conflicts, or failure to complete the course. Any remaining payment plan balance remains due in full.
The Foundations Kit is subject to the terms described in Section 5.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 business days.
5. The Foundations Kit and Shipping
The Foundations Kit is optional and is not required to participate in Sacred Aromatics Foundations.
Domestic orders are shipped via USPS at no additional charge unless otherwise stated at checkout. International orders are shipped without charcoal rounds and at the shipping rates listed at checkout.
You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. We are not responsible for packages delivered to an address supplied incorrectly at checkout, or for delays caused by the carrier, customs, weather, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges associated with international delivery are your responsibility.
We reserve the right to remove, substitute, or modify kit contents when reasonably necessary due to availability, safety requirements, or shipping restrictions. We will make reasonable efforts to provide materials of comparable purpose and value.
Because the kit contains cosmetic, aromatic, and consumable goods, it cannot be returned once shipped.
If your kit arrives damaged, contact us at support@alchemessence.com within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of the damage. We will work with you to replace damaged items when reasonably possible.
6. Educational Purpose and No Medical Claims
Sacred Aromatics Foundations is educational, devotional, and spiritual in nature.
Nothing in this course constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for care from an appropriately qualified healthcare provider. No statement made in this course has been evaluated by the US Food and Drug Administration unless specifically stated otherwise. No particular outcome, healing, result, or experience is promised or guaranteed.
Juniper Stokes is trained in clinical aromatherapy, herbalism, and flower essence practice. She is not acting as a physician, psychotherapist, or other licensed medical provider in this course and does not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions through this program.
If you are managing a physical or mental health condition, please continue working with your own qualified providers. Nothing taught in this course should replace prescribed treatment or professional care.
7. Safety and Assumption of Risk
Aromatic materials are potent substances and may carry risks including skin irritation, allergic reaction, respiratory irritation, phototoxicity, or other adverse effects. Burning resins and other materials also involves heat, smoke, and fire.
By enrolling in this course, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for your own participation and use of aromatic materials.
Please observe the following safety practices:
Patch test new topical materials before broader use when appropriate.
Do not ingest essential oils, resins, or other aromatic materials used in this course unless expressly directed by a qualified medical professional.
Keep aromatic materials away from eyes and mucous membranes.
Some aromatic materials, including certain expressed citrus oils, can cause phototoxic reactions. Follow the dilution, application, and sun-exposure guidance provided for each material.
Burning resin produces smoke and involves a heat source. Use a heat-safe vessel with sand or ash, maintain appropriate ventilation, never leave burning charcoal unattended, and keep burning materials away from children, pets, and anything flammable.
Some aromatic materials may be unsuitable or require additional precautions for people who are pregnant or nursing, have asthma, epilepsy, allergies or other health conditions, or take medications. Consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional when you have questions about whether a particular material is suitable for you.
Children and animals may respond differently to aromatic materials than healthy adults. Keep course materials safely stored and do not assume that materials appropriate for adult use are appropriate for children or animals.
You are responsible for reviewing ingredient lists and deciding whether to use each material. If you have known allergies or sensitivities, please review all ingredients before use.
You participate in the course and use aromatic materials at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to release and hold harmless Juniper Stokes Creative, LLC, doing business as Alchemessence, and its members, officers, contractors, and representatives from claims arising from your voluntary participation in the course or your use or misuse of aromatic materials, except to the extent liability cannot legally be waived.
Nothing in this section is intended to waive liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
8. This Is Not a Certification
Completing Sacred Aromatics Foundations does not certify, license, or qualify you to diagnose, treat, or provide aromatic services to clients for compensation. It does not confer a professional credential of any kind.
Completion of Foundations satisfies the prerequisite for certain depth-tier courses offered through Nectar & Alchemy. Admission to those courses remains subject to any additional requirements and our discretion.
If you already work with clients in any capacity, you are solely responsible for practicing within the scope, licensing, insurance, and legal requirements of your own jurisdiction and profession.
9. Intellectual Property and Use of Materials
All course materials, including recordings, slides, written guides, practices, handouts, curriculum, and other content provided through Sacred Aromatics Foundations, are the intellectual property of Juniper Stokes Creative, LLC, doing business as Alchemessence.
Course materials are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not:
Record live sessions.
Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, or resell course materials.
Share course recordings or materials with anyone who is not enrolled in the course.
Use course materials to teach, train, or create substantially similar offerings for others.
Share your course access credentials.
Upload, submit, or provide substantial portions of course materials to an AI system for the purpose of reproducing, summarizing, transforming, distributing, training on, or generating derivative versions of those materials.
You are warmly encouraged to use what you learn in your own personal practice and to speak about your experiences and understanding in your own words.
Violation of these terms may result in removal from the course without refund and legal action when necessary to protect our intellectual property.
10. Council, Privacy, Recordings, and Conduct
Our live circles may include council sharing and personal reflection. What is shared by participants in council should remain within the course community.
Do not record, screenshot, quote, reproduce, or intentionally repeat another participant's personal sharing outside the course without their permission.
Sharing is always invited and never required.
We expect participants to treat one another with respect. Harassment, discrimination, proselytizing, unsolicited solicitation of other students, repeated disruptive behavior, or conduct that materially interferes with the course may result in removal without refund.
Live circle recordings may capture participant video, audio, names, and contributions. By attending a live session with your camera or microphone enabled, you consent to being included in the course recording.
Recordings are provided to enrolled students for the purpose of participating in and reviewing the course. Participants may not download for redistribution, share, or distribute recordings.
If you prefer not to appear in recordings, you may keep your camera and microphone off, participate through methods that do not identify you, or watch the recording afterward.
We may edit or remove portions of recordings when reasonably necessary to protect participant privacy or address technical issues.
11. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Circumstances Beyond Our Control
If we cancel Sacred Aromatics Foundations entirely before completing the course, you will receive a refund for the undelivered portion of the course. If a kit has not yet shipped, you will also receive a refund for any kit payment received.
If a live session must be rescheduled due to illness, personal emergency, technical failure, or another reasonable circumstance, we will notify you as promptly as possible and provide a replacement date, recording, or another reasonable alternative.
Rescheduling an individual session does not entitle you to a refund.
We are not responsible for delays, interruptions, or inability to provide a live session caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including illness, family emergency, natural disaster, power or internet outages, platform failures, carrier disruptions, government action, or other unforeseen events. When reasonably possible, we will provide a replacement session, recording, or alternative means of accessing the course content.
12. Communications
We will send you emails necessary to administer and deliver the course, including access information, schedule updates, payment notices, and course materials.
You may unsubscribe from promotional or general marketing emails at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or course-related communications while your enrollment is active.
13. Privacy
We collect and use personal information as reasonably necessary to process your enrollment, deliver the course and kit, communicate with you, and operate our business.
We do not sell your personal information.
Payment processing may be provided by third-party services including ThriveCart, Stripe, and PayPal. We do not directly store your complete payment card information.
Our use of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at:

14. Transfers
Enrollment is personal to you and may not be transferred, assigned, shared, or resold without our written permission.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before filing a legal claim arising from these Terms or your participation in the course, you agree to contact us and make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter directly for at least 30 days.
To the extent a dispute cannot be resolved informally, any legal action will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in Deschutes County, Oregon, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Juniper Stokes Creative, LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from Sacred Aromatics Foundations, the Foundations Kit, or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid directly to us for the specific product or course giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions for future cohorts or offerings.
The version of these Terms in effect on the date of your purchase will govern your enrollment, unless a change is required by applicable law or is necessary to address an immediate safety, security, or legal concern.
